How Grade Point Average (GPA) is computed

Your GPA represents a weighted average of academic grades. The formula is: GPA = Sum of (Course Credits × Grade Points) / Total GPA Credit Hours. Weighted scales add increments to standard weights: Honors courses receive +0.5 points, while AP/IB level courses add +1.0 points.

Non-punitive designations (like Pass/Fail, Withdrawal, and Incomplete) are excluded from the GPA credit hour divisor to prevent skewing indices.
