WPM, CPM, and accuracy explained

Words per minute (WPM) uses the chars/5 standard — every 5 characters count as one word, regardless of actual word length. The Live Testmode shows a passage, starts timing on "Start Test", and scores your WPM + accuracy at the end of the selected duration. The WPM Calculatorlets you paste any text and enter the elapsed time manually. Average typists score 40–60 WPM; professional typists 80–120 WPM. No text is ever uploaded — everything runs in your browser.
